I think this is your most insightful post. Don’t agree that we can teach AI to remember history based on importance. I think Apple’s paper on AGI blew that fear/hope out of the water and exposed where AI truly is now— a PR job by startups trying to convince us that we are currently where they hope to be in five years. (And that’s AI now not AGI)
